I jave a seadoo gtx supper charged i always have trouble starting it i put just regular gas in it to i need to put the higher octane gas in it is the the reason why i have trouble starting it

Are you sure you did not explain it the weong way around? The wind flap, when pushed away from the ventilator, should close (!) the choke, so to skow down the RPM; that's to keep the RPM constant, in effect. - Or am I wrong?

Good video. My mower will not start when hot because the thermostat has the choke open. Anything I can do but have a coffee while it cools down and finish mowing the lawn?

My onan gas generator muffler exit pipe was badly rusted and disintegrated in few pieces and disappeared behind us on the road. After that. a few days later. My ABS light turned on and off randomly. I did not had braking issue. but i think there is a lose wire and connection lose somewhere. Do you know who to troubleshoot that?

So I have this mower. Runs fine. But push button starter doesn’t work, nor will it cut off when I release the handle. Also plastic key won’t switch left to off position. Thoughts. I took apart down to view of auto start mechanism. Afraid to pull apart as don’t know what’s inside and screwing it up. My assumption is it frozen up somehow. Thanks.

Although your beam seams heavy enough to withstand the mowers weight it is not bearing all the weight. Instead all the weight is placed solely on the eye screw which I wouldn't consider safe as it could fail and rip out! A safer way would be to rap a good size heavy chain around the beam and then run your hoist off the chain. Safer and stronger support transfered totally to the beam instead of an eye bolt!

replaced the carburetor exactly as you did......and still having problems......after running about 5 seconds the engines shuts off.....even when I tilt to the right it shuts off....but not to the left.....any suggestions?

I have the MM875. It will be 19 years old in July 2024. It is in for repair now for the brush (fingers crossed). I had bought an MM2000 a few weeks ago and returned it because I couldn’t lower the handle to waist height. I spoke to a B&D CSR who said the handle could not be lowered; you have to match the arrow on one part with either the 1 or the 2 on the other part which leaves the handle at my collar bone. I was hoping you addressed this issue here.

You need to remove the felt in the clutch and clean with engine cleaner and water. Blow air in hole to remove felt pad. Squeeze water out of felt. Then reoil the felt pad with engine oil. You can also spray WD40 into the hole if you don't want to take it apart. The cover comes off by prying with a razon blade, and it just presses on. You're supposed to reoil them threw the tiny hole on a vertical shaft engine without taking them apart. They also sell a oil squirter you can use to squirt engine oil into the hole on a horizinal shaft engine.
